Jasper Livingston Memory, Jr. Papers, 1921-1935

His papers consist of biographical and family files, memoirs, speeches and addresses, a small amount of correspondence, typescript copies of family correspondence and his reports to the President of Wake Forest College as a Field Agent for the Building Fund. Most of the collection consists of documents pertaining to the reprinting effort made by Dr. Memory for John Charles McNeill's poetry. Dr. Memory was a nephew of John Charles McNeill and was owner of the copyrights to Songs of Merry and Sad and Lyrics from the Land of Cotton, which were reprinted by the University of North Carolina Press.
